At MATEXPO, GM Recycling once again stole the show with an absolute highlight: the WASH-BEAR TRACK 190, the largest in its series and a machine that perfectly illustrates the future of recycling. Compact, mobile, and equipped with a powerful washing screw, this system is built to convert contaminated materials into clean, high-quality fractions.

 

Mobile, hydraulic, and ready for the job site

 

The WASH-BEAR TRACK 190 is mounted on its own fully hydraulically driven tracked undercarriage. That mobility is no minor detail: “We want to avoid transport as much as possible,” explains manager Brecht Martens. “Machines must be able to go to the site, not the other way around.” The tracked undercarriage also increases ground clearance, allowing the machine to be easily deployed on a variety of terrains. But the WASH-BEAR TRACK 190 can also be delivered on skids or even be fully electrically powered—an important option now that electrification is becoming increasingly relevant in the sector.

 

The machine operates according to a clear physical principle: separation based on gravity. Contaminated material is submerged in water. What floats is automatically skimmed off; everything that sinks is discharged clean. The result? A clean separation between stones and “lights,” making contaminated fractions reusable.

 

The washing screw itself is a feat of engineering: a full 1 meter in diameter, made from 15 mm thick Creusabro (an extremely wear-resistant alloy) and built for long-term use without compromise. “We deliberately avoid using thinner materials or inferior alloys,” says Brecht. “You simply have to make the heaviest wear part heavy. That’s the only way to guarantee quality.”

 

New to the market, but already making a strong statement

 

The WASH-BEAR TRACK 190 is still in its infancy, but for GM Recycling, that’s exactly why they’re diving right in. “We want to be part of the growth from the very start,” says Brecht. “This shows that we continue to offer solutions to the challenges recycling companies face today.”
