A classic in the GM lineup: the TROMMALL 3500TR – compact, ingenious, and designed for shipyards.
Among the impressive range of machines on display at the GM Recycling booth, one model stood out in particular for its simplicity, versatility, and practical approach: the TROMMALL 3500TR. A compact two-fraction drum screen that perfectly addresses a growing trend in the industry: bringing the machine to the job site, rather than transporting materials on the road.
A response to rising landfill costs and efficiency gains
Transporting soil and debris by road is becoming increasingly expensive. This is due not only to transportation and fuel costs, but also to rising landfill fees. That is why GM Recycling is seeing growing demand for machines capable of screening, sorting, and recycling on-site. “Why transport the same soil twice when you can recycle it directly on-site?” explains Brecht Martens, the company’s director. “The TROMMALL 3500TR perfectly meets this need.” Thanks to this compact vibrating screen, the contractor can set up the machine in the yard, on the driveway, or right next to the house. The soil is thus screened on-site, stones are removed, and the screened soil can be reused immediately, without additional transport or extra costs.
Impressive capacity in a compact frame
Despite its compact size, the TROMMALL 3500TR surprises with a 3-meter screening deck—exceptionally long for this class. This translates to a high hourly capacity, exactly what many contractors are missing in smaller, compact machines. Weighing just 16 tons, the screen is easy to move. It can be transported on a standard flatbed trailer or a towed flatbed trailer behind a tractor—and that’s a major advantage. As a result, the machine can be used in areas where large equipment cannot access, such as: large private gardens, small and medium-sized construction projects, residential maintenance work, or utility and landscaping projects. And because the TROMMALL 3500TR operates in-line and has no side belts, it effortlessly reaches places where other machines have to give up.
Simple and built for daily use
Like every machine GM Recycling is showcasing at MATEXPO, the TROMMALL 3500TR was chosen for its reliability and simplicity. The machine operates with just two hydraulic functions. Operators therefore do not need extensive training, and maintenance is minimal. The machine is also part of GM Recycling’s rental fleet, which proves just how reliable and user-friendly it is. “Anyone can operate it,” says Brecht. “That’s why it’s used so often. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do—without any hassle.”
The TROMMALL 3500TR may be compact, but it fits perfectly with the future of modern construction site organization: less transport, more reuse, lower costs, and more efficient on-site operations. With this model, GM Recycling once again offers a solution that responds to the realities of today and tomorrow. Compact, versatile, and smart—exactly what many contractors need.
